How would you reconnect a building, immersed and dissociated from the countryside at the same time, to land and landscape? This was a focal point we had to address as we approached the restoration project of an old villa in the Alta Langa. 
By taking advantage of the old staircase and the design of a hallway, we gave flexibility of use to a container which used to be framed and rigid by its nature.  
A steel framed extension creates a new volume, directly connected to the ground level.
